The referral picture of Abby, 3 weeks old, in the green came up first on the computer screen. This overwhelming feeling and a flood of tears came over me. I had not expected that at all. I felt so immensely blessed to be pressented the possibility of adopting this precious little one. She did not at all look like I expected. One of the things that surprised me is that she had no hair. She actually looked alot like I did as a baby. I did feel a sign of recognition as she had the cute almond eyes I had hoped for. Also in her video she sports an adorable unilateral dimple. Gabi just looked like a perfect doll and some how more mature then the two weeks of age she was. She was so feminine and had the beautiful head of hair I was expecting in a baby from Guatemala. A very special moment the first time seeing the referral picture. Unlike others who were so good to wait for their DH to be home to see the pictures, my older children and I could not resist to peak. So all DH got was two phone calls, one with me telling him we got referrals and the next that we are taking them. LOL There was no way we were not persuing an adoption on these two precious babies if they would let us. Anna
