Yes, You definitely need more information and a physician consult. It looks like this could be caused by something relatively minor and treatable like an infection (fungal, parasite, or bacteria). A daily shot could be an anti-fungal agent, antibiotic, or an anti-inflammatory like cortisone... OR, this could be a more serious problem. Here is a link to an educational site for physicians.
