Lightbulb Introductions!

KarynB came up with a great idea!
So I figured we could start an introductions list.

Merry Meet,
My name is Lola, and yes I can actually tell your age by which song just poped into your head so becareful.

I'm 36 years old, soon to be 37, am married to a really wonderful man and have the pleasure of having our best friend living with us too. It's not all fun and games however since while I have 2 great guys around they are still guys and the level of help you get is in direct proportion to the level of frustrating male behavior you get.

We are currently in the process of adopting a baby from Guatemala, a little boy, we've only just begun what seems to be at times a very long stressful journey. The paperwork and forms are intimidating to say the least. And we aren't even close to the readlly hard parts yet.

I'm sure over the next few months you guys will get to hear my cries of frustration and help to get through it.

In the Adopion Triad I cover 2/3rds I was adopted at birth in a private adoption, and have been searching for my Biological Mother off and on for quite awhile.
I'm a soon to be adoptive mother and am frustrated at the difficulty to get any information on the Biological parents and hoping that we will at least be able to get some to offer our Son one day.
I'm not a Biological Mother, however, I sort of feel like one (Absolutely no disrespect intedended to you ladies at all) as my husband has a daughter to whom we have always paid child support and have always thought of and loved. However due to her Mother's wishes we have never seen her nor had any contact. His daughter is nearly 18 and we are planning to contact her but it's a tad confused at times. And we do feel as there are similar issues to those faced by biological parents who have located a child and is nervous of first contact. So needless to say to all of you biological parents out there, my heart goes out to each and every one of you!

I am Pagan, and for me at least that is the term I use, I am not Wiccan nor do I break it down any deeper than Pagan, just by personal choice.

I've been extreamly blessed, I was an Army wife for 13 years, and have had the pleasure of living all over the US and in Korea and England both for a number of years. Currently we are in Maryland, though hopefully only for a couple of years more before we get to change that.

Wow, don't I just sound formal and stuffy? YUCK! hehe anyway, it's great to meet you all and I'm so thankful to have this new forum opened to us all that I just can't wait to meet you!
