I have said this once and got blasted for it but I'll say it again anyway. It will be easier on your daughter and you if she gets to know her parents one at a time. I gave my daughter the information that she needed to locate her father right off the bat and she found him very quickly. All of the different stories and family members comming at her at once sent her into over-load. Since you are already trying to find her mother I guess you will have to give her the information sooner rather than later but I would suggest that she gets to know you first before making contact. If she goes ahead anyway-it's her decision.
I'm glad that you have come to this site. I wish that I had found it sooner. I have made friends and found support here. It is good to read the other forums to get insight about how adoptees and their adopted families feel about things- not that everyone feels the same. I met my daughter without a clue.
