Dog breeds & Adoption?

I was wondering if the state of Ohio had any requirements on the breeds of dogs one is allowed to own in order to go through with foster/adoption(we would like to do both but mostly foster care & perhaps adoption if presented with the right situation).

We do occasional foster care for a local animal rescue organization & the number of pets we own....while not anything extreme....is more than the normal 1 dog 1 cat type households. We occasionally have dogs and or litters of puppies in our household for short periods of time. They are temperment tested before arival.

One of the dogs that we own might have some american Pitbull Terrier in her backround. She is a mongrel so we can not be sure on her parentige. Our dogs are sweet, even tempered, well trained, and great with children (we have many in our lives).

I wonder if anyone who shares their homes with a breed of dog that is typically discriminated agianst(due to hype, myth, ignorance, or irrisponsible ownership) can tell me more about their adoption experience and or their homestudies in regards to their dogs(APBT, Amstaff, Bulldogs, Rottweilers, Chows exc) Thanks.
