I think that by posting on two different forums, one might miss out on something that might affect either type of adoption. However, if you have a questions specifically for independant adoptions, you could just preface that in the thread title you start on this site.
I also would think there would be a lot of double posting on both threads. We all want to know how your case is going whether you are adopting independantly or not.
