Our families response was sort of positive, but not really!! We got the usual we will love them no matter what if they are purple, blue, white, AA, or dark skinned. We told them that it wasn't really an option for them not to her and if they show any racist views then we will cut off all contact. Then my lovely (ignorant) FIL asked if they would be Mexican!!! I really didn't know what to say but I had access to a computer and we had a geography lesson. Then of course he had to make the comment when I asked if it would make a difference to them if they were Mexican he said, "oh, of course not." The funniest thing to me is that step MIL sends us those chain emails and one of them was about how English should be the ONLY language sponken in the US and we shouldn't have to accomodate the "Spanish" speaking people. I flipped out and asked her in a not so nice way to delete us from her email list.
Also your famalies views may change once you get a refferal. That is what everyone says on here so I hope it will help your situation to put a little precious face on the whole issue.
