You still need a homestudy? I find that very hard to believe since you are not going through an agency only a lawyer. Besides, I have heard several stories of people not needing a homestudy to do a private adoption I just wanted to make sure that was true. I have posted this in the Michigan board but no one seems to respond to me there so I thought I would post this here.
