Frustrated Ex-Caseworker

We left the meeting in tears. If this really is the law, then it is the stupidist thing I have ever heard of. We were told that just becasue I was a caseworker for a little over a year, more than a year ago that there could be a conflict of interest. Now I understand not being able to quit your job and adopt a child from your caseload but over a year later, none of the kids I worked with are even still in the state's custody. I would think that ex-caseworkers would make some of the best foster/adopt parents, after all they know how the system works and they know that it is the job of CPS to reunify families if possible. If anyone has any information that would help us and point us in the right direction please write.
