I called my social worker the other day to talk to her about this. She talked to me for over an hour, and she was SO HELPFUL! Another thing that helps is that the SW it the one who is most involved in the case. It HELPS for him/her to know what is going on with the kids, and how it is affecting the family.

I said we were tired and worn out and didn't know how to "deal with" our foster son anymore. She said I am doing a great job, and that no one can do it better, and that I need to stop taking so much on myself. All I can do is to take good care of our foster son, and be a good mom to him. I can't "fix" him, I can just do my best to take care of him.

It was definitely worth it to put a call in to my SW!
