Yes, you have to tell her. The truth always has a way of coming out anyway. The only risk you face in losing your daughtewr is if you lie to her, or dont honor your agreement with her birthparents. My Mom went through a lot of pain because my parents did not keep in touch with her like they said they would. She was even terrified that I might have died or something. I know that I'm not at fault, but part of me feels guilty for being the cause of her pain. You dont want to do that to your daughter.
