I met with my daughters parents for the first time at their home. We had intended on it being a short hour - 2 hour meeting...it ended up being all day and half the night. They did have a birthday cake for me, because it was close to my birthday....we also ate dinner.

I would suggest having some drinks and maybe some finger foods - but be prepared to do something more, should the meeting progress to something longer.
