There is the other of side of this also where the child is a sensory seeker. One of my bio kids was this way. Running into walls on purose, licking windows and poles, sniffing people, ramming his head into me the entire time he was nursing. It is exhausting. There is a great book on the subject called " The Out-of-sync Child" by Carol Kranowitz.
