Texas Born Male 1969 Adoptee
I was just wanting to know what is it that your asking for when contacting this office Non ID information? and do you contect them by sending them a letter asking for it? and if you can call by phone what is it that you say to them ? I have sent an Application to request the information on which court my adoption was final through. My adoptive parent's say they can't remember the name of the Attorney that handled my private adoption so this is the only way I know that I can get my records unsealed, I have no information at all to go on in my search on my birth mother or father . Thanks a lot for any and all information on this matter

The attorney for a private adoption should release non-id but not all do. Most state adoption governing agencies in the U.S. say that an adoptee is "entitled" to non-identifying information but they do not seem to have the authority to enforce that rule.
