We can't choose who our birth parents are either...

I still think the quote is cool, because the person making the committment does not have to. But I guess you don't have to make a committment to your biological children either.... maybe we could just paraphrase the quote to say "committment is good".

But I think something gets lost there.
I guess what I'm trying to say... If the quote means something to you, go with it. If it doesn't, forget about it.
btw... I'm not making a slam, just an observation...

I guess I am just indifferent.
