we are doing a private adoption she was placed with us by a friends of my brother's stepson. We have now had 2 meetings with her and she is coming out on the 29th to do the home visit. But we were very nervous but the social worker told us "I am here to help you adopt not to stop you from adopting" and that put me to ease and the questions were pretty simple nothing surprising the only was surprise was how easy it was and quick. Now comes the home visit. I just want this to be over and it has been over a year since she was laid in our arms and jumped in our hearts.
I cant wait I just hope the wait to finish is not as bad as the wait has been so far.We never even looked up adoptions or knew anythign baout it until we got our DD and then to find out all this and now that we know abotu the home study we still do not know what to think about the post placement and how long it take to finalize and then the whole getting the SS# so just keep thinking about us and I will kep you all in my prayers
