If the Dr. Keith Ablow Show approaches you -- Be warned!

www.keithablow.com

Hey guys, we were approached by a producer from this show to do a show on Transracial Adoptive Families and the issues they face. This is what we were told the show would be about ...

We are looking into doing a show on race involving families. What that means is exactly how you put it, we’d like to talk to families/parents like yours about the issues you and your family are facing. How it effects you and your partner, your children, and maybe even your community. We’re all about awareness and helping people through any aspect they may have challenging.

So when we said that we would consider doing the show it turned into an expose about our family and the kids' stories etc. FAR beyond what the original scope of the show was agreed to be. We were dropped (thankfully) like a hot potato once we expressed our concerns at the Springer-esque vision of the show and our refusal to participate in that way HOWEVER they talk a very nice tune at first - very respectful and seemingly sounds like a good thing. SO -- be warned.

I know that they were looking at both this site and other forums trying to find adoptive families to do a show on so I figure I cant be the only person approached.
