His first response was that yes I would probably lose the little ones since I’m not “blood kin”. I jumped on that to say that I realize I would lose the kinship care but that I currently do share custody of the kids in my name as well as his. When I put it like that, he said he’s not sure and he’ll have to do some checking.

I explained what’s been going on and that I can’t get through to hubby and am at the end of my rope. He would like to meet with hubby and I next week either at his office or at our home in the evening to try to talk about these things.

But final word is that if we do separate, the court has to be notified immediately and in the interim, he will check into it for me.
