Glad my experience helped. One thing we found surprisingly easy and effective was putting flyers up in our (and friends) car windows. People seemed to just gravitate to a flyer in the window, then they'd read and....we would get calls. Easy, very inexpensive, very attactive.
The most important thing is to tell everyone. Your letter carrier. Newspaper delivery person. Pizza delivery person. Leave business cards with 20% tips at restaurants and such. We made a mass email distribution list - basically everyone we knew - and updated that group on every contact or every two weeks. That's how our connection was made.
