Hi - I can't remember if you're going through the state or a private agency.

We did private agency in Indiana, and our post-placement was nothing much. The caseworker came out, and spent time sitting in our living room. We chitchatted a little. She wanted to hold the baby, (just because she's a mom and loves babies). She really just asked us if we had questions, if we felt we were bonding well, how everyone had adjusted to the baby, how our families were doing w/ a new grandbaby, and how the baby was doing.

We talked about if we wanted to adopt again, what process we'd have to go through to update and the timeframe (they require we wait at least a year before we start the process again).

She didn't walk through our house at all or even look at the baby's room. Of course, the entire downstairs looked like a Babies 'r' Us store, so she could see we had the necessities to care for him.....

She went over the process and paperwork we'd need to complete for the finalization and advised us to contact the lawyer just to follow up to be sure they'd received her final report.

I doubt she was there 45 minutes. We were a little nervous beforehand, but once she was gone, we laughed at ourselves. It was much less of an ordeal than the home visit beforehand.
