Adoption from Russia generally is about $25,000-$35,000. You definitely should not have to pay this all at once -any agency requesting a large sum up front (or even before you have received a referral of a child) should be a huge red flag. There are several reputable agencies who work in Russia. Unfortunately, many of us currently in process of adopting from Russia are caught up in delays with adoption agencies re-accreditation and NGO registration.
