We did not write an essay, we wrote autobiographies. My husband and I both wrote out ours based on questions provided by our agency- they had to be narrative in form and at least 8 pages for each of us!
While I don't mind writing, telling your own life story on paper for someone else can be hard!!!
I think each agency has
very different requirements- I wouldn't write too much until you get more info on what is wanted. (Your agency or social worker should give you clear directions on what is expected.)
