Question about legal document where bmom severed rights to infant
At some point in my search, I went to some gov't(?) agency where the legal document was where my birth mom had signed to sever her legal rights to me. On this form, the reason given was "neglect." This was back when out-of-wedlock pregnancy was more taboo that it is now. But, this still angers me that this was the reason they gave on this document. IMO, it was wrong to list that as the reason when my birth mom had planned from nearly the beginning of her pregnancy to place me for adoption.
Has anyone else had this happen? In your records?
