A pregnant birthmom gave her number to my sister tonight b/c she wants to give her baby up. She has no agency and no attorney yet, and neither do we.

I have checked the laws in our state and it seems generally much less complicated and less expensive to do an open, independent adoption.

I was wondering if anyone has been through this and knows what the rough costs are for an attorney to simply draw up the paperwork with the courts.
