My boys really ate anything -- We hads lots of mashed potatoes, tried some cooked cabbage, but they didn't want it (wanted cole slaw instead). We had cheerios for breakfast (didn't want oatmeal). My mom made meals for us when we got home; had tuna noodle casserole, rice and cream of chicken, rice and chicken casseroles, cream chipped beef, meatloaf .. things like that. I was lucky, my boys weren't picky and the food didn't affec their little tummies. Big hits were also yogurt, crackers, jello, and mac and cheese.
What I noticed most w/ my 5 yr. old is he couldn't seem to get ENOUGH food. He'd eat and eat .. and try to eat quickly. It was hard to get him to slow down. Same w/ drinking. I'd put his cup out of reach so he had to ask for it each time ....slowed him down.
Both of them still eat almost anything put in front of them ... They have such appetites .. I have NO IDEA what I'll do when they teenagers!
I was one of the lucky ones with the food ... my boys ate anything but veggies!
