You're definitely not alone! Not only did we not try AI or IVF or anything along those lines, we didn't even get tested to know 100% or not if we could conceive (although we have suspicions that my husband might have a low/no sperm count). We just knew we'd been married for almost 10 years and had no children, and we wanted children, and we didn't believe conceiving with medical help or artificially was right for us and it didn't matter which one of us wasn't helping the situation.
SO - adoption was our natural choice for a way to create our family!
We have other friends who also didn't try any medical procedures before thinking of adoption. Now, after reading so many heartbreaking stories, I'm so glad we didn't spend the money and time on it!
