We have been married for going on 6 yrs now, after 3 years with no protection we wondered why we hadn't gotten pregnant, so I went to the gyn. Well turns out i had some SEVERE endometriosis, so much so that my ovaries were attched to the back side of my uterus ( sorry guys ) after that they said we shold be pregnant in a year, so we waited 11 months and no go so we decided to adopt, only we were originally going to adopt out of foster care, so we went through all the classes and got certified only to be looked down upon because we are relatively young in comparison ( 25 & 26 ) then my big sis showed me Mia's pic and we fell in love ,we started the paper chase the next day and here we are. Adoption is so prevelent in my family with an adopted brother, ( mentally handicapped ) and adopted Neice ( Cambodia ) and adoptde nephew ( Vietnam ) and a cousin who gave her baby up for adoption ( teen pregnancy ) that it was a natural next step for us. We never got tested beyond my endometriosis and probably never will, we figure if there is no medical reason why i am not getting pregnant then we are just supposed to adopt and who knows I may get pregnant later, if not we will do it all over again, although we probably will stick with the foster care adoption, next time, just becuase it is a LOT less stressful financially, although not necessarily emotionally, we shall see you never can tell. God has his plans and we are just along for the ride.
