Ours was an emergency placement and when we got he call, we owned 1 pack of onesees, one bag of diapers, one blue outfit and one pink outfit, and a car seat!! When she was born tiny, we rushed out the morning we picked her up for some preemie clothes......

My advice, GO SHOPPING NOW FOR UNISEX ITEMS! Now. Go now. Drop what you are doing and go now. Oh, and did I say go now!!?? Thank god for the family members that rushed over with supplies the night we came home......

Also realize that people will read your feelings, so be happy, and excited and know that it will happen soon. We told every TRU employee that we were adopting, and they were so excited for us. The woman who helped with our registry was an adoptive mom herself!! Now when we go in there - which has finally subsided - she makes a point of coming over to see us as she remembers us!!

Just my advice, but all three times we were considered were emergency placements. 3rd time was the charm!!

Best of luck!!
