I am on my way out the door, but, I suppose to me it showed the stereotypical happy ending for the birth mom. Guess, I don't believe that is the reality for most birth moms.

Plus, I was a mom at 16 myself - know it is hard. I also know that living with the experience of relinquishing a child is waaaay harder. The child I had at 16 is now a mom of 3, she's stable, educated and a great mom. It only makes it worse for me that the 16 year appeared that she could have handled being a mom. Guess it was sad for me knowing what she may have in store for the rest of her life - the loss of her child.

Sorry, don't mean to be a downer - I understand why adoptive moms love happy presentations of adoption. My reality is different - I see adoption differently from my own personal experience - and the stories of birth moms and adoptees that I know.
