This is interesting as I was always questioning the due dates of the PP reports w/ our agency who was umbrellaed under a facilitating company (leaving names off). They were due at 4 mo, 10 mo, 20 mo and 30 mo. Russia's requirements were 6, 12, 24 and 36. This made no sense to me. You can see the big difference btwn 20/24 and 30/36. I was always told it was due to the report needing to be translated, which made no sense when the first two PP's were only 2 mos earlier than their due date. I could be off base, but what I think has happened is that Russia is enforcing the original date requirements it had in place and they can not be done any sooner than 1 month prior to their due date. Just my thought. As we were to be doing our last PP today in fact for my son who will be home 3 years in November and the report was to be due in May, but it is now due in October. So, I dont know if anything has really changed w/ Russia, I think Russia is just hammering down on the guidelines the agencies/facilitators were using.
