While we were in China we saw several older boys who had medical conditions as infants, but were still considered "special needs" even thought the problems had been repaired or outgrown. You might talk to an agency about requesting an older boy with a "repaired" sn. (Cleft lip, heart problems, etc....). We adopted a 4 yr old boy, but his sn was mangeable for us. Good luck! The boys are definitely out there!
