Does your agency pay you directly? We have to get payment from the foster parents. We actually did not get paid once. I decided not to do it after that. Also ask why they are using respite? We have only used respite once - our fs came a month before a ADULT only vacation out of the country that we had planned for several months. Because another couple was also going, we did not feel like we could cancel. Does the family need a break from the child, because of major issues OR do they have plans that they can not take the child. Be careful if the family needs a break!
