I don't recall seeing that particular one. However, I don't think the amom meant anything by that other than she loves her child no more than she would love her own *biological child*.
I agree it's poor adoption language but I don't think she meant that her child is not her own. It's just the language we're so used to hearing.
We have such supportive friends and family who all absolutely adore DS and sometimes they'll make a comment about "no watch, you're going to get pregnant and have one of your own." I know they didn't mean that the way it sounded. Luckily, they have me to gently correct that language -

When I do, they are usually take aback about what they said - they'd NEVER intentionally make it seems as though DS wasn't our own.
Now, chicky on Adoption Stories' counselor needs to meet with her and give her a short lesson on adoption language I do believe!
