That's an excellent point that I haven't thought of. I think I have about 18 years of working left, at least though, unfortunately. If I get a 2 year old, then basically, she/he will be raised by the time I retire. Who knows though, maybe I can retire before 65. But with the added expense of a child, probably not. I'll have to start saving for a wedding fund and a college fund also.
