Basically we took candy and granola for us. For Mason on trip 2 we took an entire suitcase of baby food and a huge can of formula. Despite what I have heard about switching them over in Russia, I opted to have the diaper disater in the hotel rather tha in our home. Ironically he had no problens at al. He gobbled up the jar baby food and the formula and also ate chicken noodle soup and mashed potatos and fruit as well as a bit of everything else we ordered from room service. No diaper problems at all. Althoough you can get whatever you need there and likely your in country coordinators will take you shopping, we opted to take everything we wanted for him. If we travel again, we will do the same thing. I felt more relaxed knowing we could stay in the room and not have to go out. Over packing is my new motto when it comes to baby food. It was my way to prepare for him. We carried it on with our court clothing. It was heavy but I felt sogood knowing I could feed my son what I wanted to feed him. Now if we had gone down in the mountains and were awaiting rescue..... I could have fed the entir plane! Well anyway less is not more... more is more
For us.... we ate the Russian food and it was excellent!
