Congratulations! How exciting.
I have heard of others acknowledging the birthparents, and I think that's very nice. We considered that, but everyone knows she has birthparents and this was really our announcement, so we wanted it to be about us. It was a hard thing to decide, but we wanted a simple photocard with her stats.
I got so caught up with trying to make what I wanted to fit, that I forgot to put her length and weight! So, DH went to the store today for clear labels to put on for the stats. What a do-do!
I would say, if you feel inclined to include the bparents, that is a very nice gesture. If you want it just to be about your immediate family, that's fine, too.
The paper thing, I'm not sure about. I haven't gotten that far. I think we'll just put something about we've welcomed home our daughter. Maybe include something about the adoption, but not sure. I am torn because I want to share this with everyone, but at the same time, it really is her story to tell if she choses to when she's older. Sigh. What to do, what to do...
