We have always wanted to adopt a child that was younger than our youngest. At the time we started the process she was 3 1/2, she is now 5 1/2! So I guess you can say that our range has expanded over the years!

I wish you the best of luck for the process, I hope for you that it is quick. Can I ask what you define as quick? I would say treat it like a pregnancy, at least nine months would be quick in my opinion. Don't want to be doom and gloom, but no one from our parent prep has been successful adoption yet. Now I've heard other stories of other people and success. Adoption is truly not for the faint of heart, or for impatient people (which I am by the way) But here I am 2 years later and still hopeful.

We truly have had down times where we feel like throwing in the towel. Last August we were pretty much done, but we came around by October and our hope was renewed.

We are in the thought that what is meant to be, will be. If God wants us to parent another child, it will happen. I guess you can say, we are letting our faith guide us.

So best of luck, I hope the process is a joyful one!
