Thanks Shef for sharing your beautiful testimony honoring Life and your birth mother! I too am a miracle birth, in that my birth mother had cancer when I was born and was in fragile health- she was 32 and my birth father 50 years. With all their problems-alcoholism, marital problems, limited finances and my mother's fragile health, I would have likely been a candidate for abortion- but thank God that abortion was not legal then, and my birth parents chose LIFE! I thank them from the bottom of my heart for giving this adoptee the opportunity to have the priviledge to ride the wonderful adventure of Life and adoption. My heart overflows with gratitude and I know my adoptive parents, who could have no children, would have loved to have thanked my birth mom also!
Shef, I too know that God had a purpose and special plan for our lives, as He has with the many unborn precious babies who were conceived in crisis pregnancies. My identity is grounded in being my First Father's child, God the Creator. Though my birth parents made love, He chose to give me Life. I hope Shef that our lives are a light to show the world that God redeems the hard times and circumstances, and makes something beautiful out of them, precious lives for His service and pleasure!
God bless you today and all the birth parents who chose Life! You are my special heroes and I pray God will bless you in this life and the one to come!
Jody
