WOW! Jasonsmom, that was the name my sister gave her son when he was born before she gave him up for adoption. (birth name)

I see a trend of Matthews and Scotts here. My son's name is also Matthew, Middle name Scott. (at birth)

My oldest daughter's name was going to be Rebecca, that is the name her father and I had chosen. However, after she was born, and he wasn't around, I named her something different. I loved that movie "Savannah Smiles". And I told myself I would call my first born daughter, Savannah. Close enough, Anna. My youngest daughter goes by her middle name also. She was named after someone in the family too. I got traditional names.
My parents struggled to find a name for me. They had lots of pressure from the family to name me after someone in the family. But my Dad hates the idea. After picking my first name, they couldnt find a middle name. Until one day in the parking lot at Grand Central, they heard some girl holler her friends name across the parking lot. Sounded good to my parents, so I got the name. lol
YES, I have to agree, naming children is not easy. But you all have done a wonderful job nameing them. It sure would be hard to go through life being called "baby". lol
I like the uncommon names. I work with this girl that has a pretty name, I just cant pronounce it. lol
Ever find yourself nameing your child before he/she is born, then after they are born, you change their name? Been there, done that.
