Hi dad:

I don't want to bash either, but I do want to say this: when religions institute policies that are clearly discriminatory against a group of people, I feel it's just wrong. No matter what the justification, I think it's hypocritical to espouse tolerance and love for people and then systematically discriminate against some of those people.

Just my .02.

(And BTW, this is not the sole province of Catholics or any other religion.)
