Hey there! I'm glad to see some action on this forum. My husband and I are in the process of adopting two sisters from Guatemala. We don't have any children yet so we know it'll be a HUGE change to suddenly have a toddler and an infant. We're hoping to get to go visit them the weekend of April 1 and spend the weekend taking care of them.

It seems we were meant to adopt siblings. We first submitted our application to our agency after hearing about a three sibling group that was up for adoption. We weren't ever officially referred them but were in a group that was being considered for them. After about a month we found out that their mom was going to continue to parent. (Which was good because the finances of 3 had us a little bit scared.) Then, we were referred a two sibling group of toddlers (ages 2 and 3). We lost them after about 6 weeks when their mom wanted them back At that point, our agency said that siblings were rare and we probably wouldn't hear of another group before we were paper ready.

Our agency then asked us if we would consider a one year old girl. When they sent us her picture we also found out that the mom was pregnant and due very soon! Baby has since been born and was another girl so it looks like we'll still be getting siblings, and getting a baby! It was so funny when I told my grandparents about our new referral. I had their pictures on top of one another and my grandpa looked at the older one first. Then I told him about the baby and he was shocked! He said "You mean you're still getting two?" It was apparent that he thought we might have regained our sanity after losing the first two, but nope, we're still going to double our family!

I'd love to talk to others who have gone from 0 to 2 or more in one fell swoop!
