I have never suffered infertility -- that does not mean that I have not suffered other great and painful issues in life. Regardless, let's assume that I simply do NOT understand. By that logic, does it mean then that you cannot understand how to raise an adopted child because you are not adopted?

Whether we want it to happen or not, our children are very able to pick up on our hot button topics. Hopefully, our own issues will not influence our children's perspective of themselves, or their place in our families.
