I would call your local Clerk of Courts to be sure
but he should just need to bring his court doucments that show the child is no long his ( his TPR) and then his employer should file paperwork to have the child support stopped being taken out of the checks. If you have a local Child Support Enforcement Agency, then he should contact them instead.
