She also told me every bad thing that she could about the younger boy, in an effort to get me to back out of adopting both. Then she thought that she could adopt the older boy by himself. Well, my heart told me that something was not right. So I went forward with the visit for the weekend and brought the older boy to my home for a long weekend. The younger boy was not able to leave the state yet. By the end of the weekend, the older boy had completely changed his mind and told the state that he wanted to come to my house to live!!! Very big thing for a 10 year old boy to do. He had wanted me to tell them, but I told him that other people had already been speaking for him and he needed to say it for himself. After he told the state reps, he told his foster mom, right in front of me and the SW (again). My younger son was crying the night before I had to take him back to the foster home. He is getting very attached to him. Well, the state has submitted ICPC to my state, now it is just the paperwork. ICPC already knows me, I have been through this before, so it should not be to bad.

On another note, my 5th grader got sixth place in the school wide spelling bee. I was beside myself. This is the young man that I have spoken about in the past. He has Asperger's. I was at the school this morning, speaking to the principle. She was simply amazed that my son went all the way to sixth place, "considering, you know". I simply smiled and said that "he has asperger's, he is not developmentally disabled" and walked away. You see, she and I have crossed before. She was talking to me about some issues and I had asked her where she got her degree in psychology. She does not have any experience in dealing with children with Asperger's. My doctor (a school board member) even called her and told her that she is not handling him correctly. Anyway, I am sure she is glad that I have moved.

Well, take care all. And congrats to everyone. The board sounds well!
