When I think about our adoption, it feels ..... bittersweet.
I am overwhelmed with joy every time I hold, feed,play, read. talk to, bathe,and cuddle Delaney. Then I think about how J must feel thinking about us doing these things, and it makes me sad. Then I go one step further and wonder how it would have been to have had an open adoption with my own birthdaughter, and I get confused. I wonder how she does it.
So bittersweet it is.
