We originally gave serious consideration to Korea. We chose an agency and were about to send in our application and then learned that numerous agencies, in particular the one we chose, don't test the babies for Hepatitis B. We had been told by the SW there that they do test and then when we pressed further we learned via the director that they do not. We were informed that they vaccinate the babies without testing them. Obviously vaccinating a baby for a disease he may already have is silly.

This was almost two years ago so things may have changed. I would just make certain that it is put in writing that the baby will be tested as Hep B is common in Korea.

That aside, I want to wish you all the best of luck with your next adoption. Catalina is sure to be a great big sister!
