Yes there is alot of uncertainty, right now in Russia. Things are moving in certain regions and with accredited agencies. The problem is the majority of agencies currently accredited will expire in May'06 and who knows if they will be reaccredited soon after or not. Back in May when these agencies were reaccredited the process was not as stringent as it is now. There is about 20 agencies still waiting for reaccreditation. Regions who use to be adoption friendly are no longer adoption friendly based on the recent abuse cases. It is very sad for all the children waiting in Russia to come home to their forever families. Russia is a very difficult country to adopt from right now, but you need to go where your heart is. My heart and my precious child is in Russia so I would go through all this frustration and heartache all over again, if given the opportunity.

Best wishes on your adoption journey
