We are CC and adopting a AA baby boy. We were matched 2 months from our homestudy being approved. Trey was born two days after being matched...he was 3 weeks early.
We started getting calls about possible situations the day we turned in our homestudy paper work which was 2 weeks after we signed with the agency. The first call was for a baby girl already born. We were not ready yet, so we declined. If you are open to race and gender I would say be prepared that you can get a call fast, but that is not guarnteed. I know a couple at my agency open to Biracial and they have been waiting two years.
