My favorite kids' book!

There is a book called "A Forever Family" by Roslyn Banish and Jennifer Jordan-Wong. I just checked on Amazon and they don't have it in stock, but there are used copies you can buy.

It is about an 8 year old girl named Jenny being adopted. It shows black and white photos and explains her experience. It shows her parents and talks about her "new" home. It also shows her social workers and a visit with one of her foster families. One of my favorite things is that it is the only book I have found that shows a picture of a finalization hearing. The entire week leading up to our hearing, I kept showing the kids that picture and reading the book, so they'd know what to expect. It also talks about how she is happy with her new family, but sometimes gets sad and misses her birthfamily. It is very cool. It is the BEST adoption kids' book I have found and the only one that showed fost/adopt, older child adoption AND a finalization hearing!

Good Luck!
