we had a facilitator do the match and our wait was about 4 weeks from end of homestudy to match, and less than half a week from match til birth (dd surprised us all by appearing a tad early, lol).
however, we're african american seeking and aa child, and I understand that on average our wait times are very short. we also have no other children.
during our 4 week wait for a match we were presented with a number of other situations, and for a number of reasons declined to pursue them.
because of the large number of variables, it's hard to say what the average wait will be.
